Products which represent tremendous value for money is at the forefront of what we do. Unwanted sounds and vibrations travel and propagate through materials and this is well known and understood. Effective isolation doesn’t necessarily require expensive materials or overly engineered solutions.

There’s no getting away from the fact that whatever we use to mount our equipment, feet must be used and as such minimising the surface area of contact becomes a key objective in reducing unwanted vibrations, noise and interference. Minimising the surface area of any coupling was at the forefront of our minds when designing and developing the new ISOL-X technology. 

The ISOL-X technology uses true innovation and effective design allied with the right materials to produce a unique platform that reduced vibrations and resonances which leading to greater detail and clarity.

The unique ISOL-X suspension system uses three key methods to decouple and isolate equipment. The first two are a wood substitute (HDF) and air. Moisture resistant HDF (High Density Fibre board) is known to provide effective damping and reduces vibrations and resonances that’s why its used extensively in the manufacture of so many isolation platforms, turntable plinths and speakers. By combining a platform made from HDF along with an air gap beneath it increases the performance even further. However, our technology allows us to take isolation to a new level.

The ISOL-X uses a third and arguably even more effective method which is the true innovation:

The design incorporates another HDF base which is decoupled from the audio rack via Sorbothane feet which provide an air gap beneath. A second HDF floating platter is decoupled from the rest of the system by a specially designed Isolation Suspension System (ISOL-X). The suspension points exhibit superb audio isolation but more importantly, each point is approximately 0.5mm in diameter whilst providing an incredibly high tensile strength. Therefore the floating platters only physical connection to any other part of the system is limited to around 1mm of surface area. The floating platter is also free to move laterally, by about 8mm in any direction and as such does not touch anything around its sides, top or bottom.

Designing the ISOL-X System was never an exercise in making something to sell; it started off as do most great products as an idea that had been kicking around for years. The very first prototype was so innovative and successful that we knew that we had to make it available to the audiophile. However, with a market awash with products we set ourselves the goal of making a product that was truly innovative, took isolation to a new level and was affordable.

The ISOL-X system has been designed and manufactured in the UK using local suppliers wherever possible and our packaging is 100% recyclable.
