Appointments, advice and demonstrations
Discover Hi-Fi in a Real Home Environment
Brian & Trevors is an audio specialist retail consultancy. Our systems are installed in a real home environment, allowing you to experience how carefully selected music and movie systems can work in a living space rather than a showroom alone.
Advice Built Around Your Home and Listening
We provide straightforward, professional advice for music and movie systems — from a single hi-fi system to multi-room network music throughout the home. Our aim is to help you choose equipment that works naturally with your room, lifestyle and listening habits.
Demonstrations are by appointment, giving you the time and space to listen properly, compare options and make an informed decision. Please call or email us to arrange a visit.
Our service promise
Demonstration, Installation, Service & Aftercare
We demonstrate, sell, install, service and support the products we supply. Newly ordered goods are inspected for correct functionality and cosmetic condition before installation or dispatch where appropriate. Unless clearly stated otherwise, products are supplied factory fresh from the manufacturer. Ex-demonstration and approved-used products are clearly identified separately.
Online shopping
Buying From the Brian & Trevors Online Shop
Our online shop offers a selected range of accessories and hi-fi products chosen to help customers get more from their music systems. We recommend contacting us before purchase if you are unsure about compatibility, specification, suitability or installation requirements.
Please Ask Before You Buy if You Are Unsure
Hi-fi systems are highly personal, and compatibility matters. Before placing an order, please contact us for advice on matching cables, cartridges, amplifiers, loudspeakers, streamers, accessories or other products with your existing equipment.
Ordering, Product Availability and Delivery Estimates
Our aim is to offer excellent value and a high standard of service. Many products are ordered directly from the manufacturer after we receive your order, helping ensure that you receive the current model and latest available specification.
We will normally confirm the expected delivery date within 24 hours of receiving your order. You are welcome to contact us before placing an order if you would like us to check likely availability and delivery times with the manufacturer.
When your product arrives with us, we will contact you and arrange dispatch or installation as appropriate. Delivery estimates are indicative only and may be affected by manufacturer availability, courier networks, weather, customs processes or other factors outside our reasonable control.
Availability
While we make every effort to ensure product information is accurate, website content does not constitute a binding offer for sale. If an ordered item is unavailable, delayed or has changed specification, we will contact you promptly to discuss an alternative, an amended delivery date or cancellation and refund options.
Delivery, Shipping and Risk
Delivery costs are shown during checkout once the delivery destination and chosen method have been entered. Unless stated otherwise, prices for goods do not include postage, packaging, delivery, installation or other optional services.
Orders are normally dispatched fully insured and, where available, with a tracking reference. Delivery times vary by destination, product availability and courier service. We will provide the best available estimate when confirming your order.
Some delivery addresses or products may require additional verification, signature, appointment scheduling or specialist handling. We may contact you before dispatch if further information is required to complete delivery safely.
International deliveries may be subject to local import duties, taxes, handling fees, customs clearance or other charges. Unless we confirm otherwise in writing, these are the responsibility of the recipient.
Cancellation, Returns and Refunds
If you are a consumer purchasing goods online, by telephone or by another distance-sale method, you may usually have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, subject to the applicable legal exceptions and the conditions below.
How to Cancel
Please notify us in writing by email before returning any goods. Include your order number, contact details and a clear statement that you wish to cancel your order. We will provide return instructions and the correct return address.
Returning Goods
- Goods should be returned within the applicable return period after cancellation.
- Please return items complete, suitably packaged and protected against damage in transit.
- Please retain proof of postage and consider using an insured service for higher-value goods.
- You are responsible for reasonable care of goods while they are in your possession.
- Unless we agree otherwise, the cost of returning unwanted goods is your responsibility.
Refunds
Refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable consumer law once goods have been returned, or sufficient evidence of return has been provided where appropriate. We may make a deduction where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect their nature, characteristics and functioning, or where their value has been reduced through damage, use, missing parts or incomplete packaging.
Exceptions
Cancellation rights may not apply, or may be restricted, for certain goods and services, including products made to your specification, bespoke installations, personalised goods, sealed software or media once opened, and services started with your agreement during the cancellation period. We will explain any relevant exception before accepting your order.
Damaged Goods, Incorrect Items and Incomplete Deliveries
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. If goods are damaged, incomplete, incorrect or affected by a fault, please notify us promptly with your order number, a description of the issue and photographs where helpful.
We will review the matter and, where appropriate, arrange repair, replacement, return, collection, refund or another suitable remedy in line with your statutory rights and the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
Reporting visible transit damage within 24 hours of delivery is helpful because it allows us to raise a courier claim quickly. This does not remove any statutory rights you may have.
Payments, Prices, VAT and International Orders
We accept payment methods shown at checkout or otherwise agreed with you. Payment may be taken when an order is placed, when goods are ordered from a manufacturer or at another point that is clearly confirmed during the order process.
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. VAT is included where applicable and shown in the checkout process. Delivery charges are added separately unless explicitly stated otherwise.
For deliveries outside the United Kingdom, the treatment of VAT, import duties and local taxes can vary. You are responsible for any charges imposed by customs or local authorities unless we have expressly confirmed otherwise in writing.
A contract for the sale of goods is formed only when we confirm acceptance of your order, normally by email or by confirming that goods have been allocated, ordered or dispatched for you.
Credit and Debit Card Payments
When paying by credit or debit card, your payment may be authorised or charged when your order is placed. For security reasons, goods may only be delivered to the billing address registered with the payment card unless an alternative arrangement has been approved by us.
Order confirmations, receipts and tracking details are normally sent by email. We may carry out reasonable fraud-prevention and security checks before dispatching goods.
Product Colours, Images and Specifications
Product images, finishes, dimensions, colours and specifications are shown as accurately as reasonably possible. However, colours may vary depending on display settings, browser software, lighting conditions and manufacturer product updates.
Manufacturers may update specifications, supplied accessories, packaging or finishes without notice. Please contact us before purchase if a particular feature, colour, connector, finish or included item is essential to your order.
Liability, Indemnity and Jurisdiction
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to the above, Brian & Trevors is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, loss of enjoyment or business interruption arising from use of this website or products, except where liability cannot lawfully be limited.
You agree not to misuse this website or interfere with its security, availability, systems or content. You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses arising from your unlawful or unauthorised use of the site.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any consumer-protection rights that apply in your country of residence.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
