Innuos Stream Series

Better streaming. Your way.

The new Innuos Stream Series brings together high-quality music streaming, local music storage and exceptional flexibility in a range designed to grow with your system.

At House of Linn, we particularly like the thinking behind it. Rather than forcing you to choose everything at the outset, Innuos lets you configure a streamer around what you need now — with the opportunity to improve and expand it later.

STREAM1

STREAM1 — a great place to start

Innuos STREAM1 is the entry point to the new range, but it is far from an entry-level product in what it can become.

Use it as a high-quality digital transport with an existing DAC, add internal SSD storage to create your own music library, or specify one of Innuos's optional output modules to build a more complete streaming solution.

Its modular design means STREAM1 can be upgraded with improved power, digital outputs or an internal DAC as your system develops.

For anyone looking for a serious alternative to an all-in-one network player, it makes a great deal of sense.

STREAM3

STREAM3 — when performance comes first

STREAM3 takes the same modular idea considerably further.

Its substantial chassis and sophisticated ARC6-CX linear power supply provide the foundation for a much higher level of performance, while a choice of output modules allows us to configure it specifically for the system in which it will be used.

STREAM3 can operate as a superb digital source feeding an external DAC, or—with the appropriate DAC module—as a complete high-end streaming source with analogue outputs.

Add internal SSD storage and it can also become the heart of a locally stored music collection.

One platform, many possibilities

One platform, many possibilities

Both STREAM1 and STREAM3 run Innuos Sense, providing an intuitive way to browse and play music from streaming services alongside your own collection.

Streaming services

Support includes services such as Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify Connect and Deezer, while Innuos also offers considerable flexibility for customers using Roon.

Configure what you need

The important difference is that you don't have to buy functionality you don't need.

  • Already have a DAC you love? Configure your Innuos as a transport.
  • Want a simpler system? Add a DAC module.
  • Have a large CD collection? Add internal storage and build a local music library.

Upgrade later

And because the Stream Series is modular, there is scope to improve the system later rather than replace it.

Which Innuos is right for you?

That's where we come in.

The number of possible configurations is one of the Stream Series' greatest strengths, but simply choosing the most expensive combination isn't necessarily the best answer.

At House of Linn, we'll help you choose the STREAM1 or STREAM3 configuration that best suits the rest of your system, your music and how you actually want to listen.

And, most importantly, you can listen before deciding.

House of Linn advice

Choose by listening, not by assumption.

  • System matching We help you choose the configuration that suits your existing DAC, amplifier and system.
  • Music habits Streaming, local storage, Roon and digital output requirements all matter.
  • Future upgrades Modular design gives you room to improve the source later.

STREAM1 or STREAM3?

Both models share the same Innuos philosophy

Both models share the same Innuos philosophy: excellent sound, intuitive operation and a modular architecture that allows us to configure the player around your system rather than the other way round.

The difference is principally one of ambition.

Innuos STREAM1

STREAM1 is where we would start for many systems.

It offers the flexibility to be anything from a dedicated streaming transport through to a complete digital source with internal music storage and DAC.

Choose from different output modules according to your system, add SSD storage if you want to keep your own music library on the player, and upgrade the power supply with the optional LPS1 for a worthwhile further improvement in performance.

STREAM1 makes particular sense if you:

  • Already own a good DAC and want a better streaming source.
  • Want to add local music storage as well as streaming.
  • Prefer to start simply and upgrade later.
  • Want an Innuos source without immediately stepping up to STREAM3.

Innuos STREAM3

STREAM3 is for systems where extracting considerably more performance from digital music is the priority.

Its sophisticated ARC6-CX linear power supply, substantial construction and higher-performance output options provide a significantly more ambitious platform.

Like STREAM1, it can be configured as a digital transport, music server or complete streaming source. But its additional module options allow STREAM3 to reach much further.

Specify the PhoenixDAC, for example, and STREAM3 becomes a complete high-end digital source with both RCA and balanced XLR analogue outputs.

STREAM3 makes particular sense if you:

  • Have a revealing system capable of showing what a better digital source can do.
  • Want a high-performance partner for an existing DAC.
  • Want the option of Innuos's PhoenixUSB or PhoenixI2S technology.
  • Are considering the PhoenixDAC and want a complete Innuos digital front end.
  • Want to buy a platform with plenty of scope for future development.

Don't choose it from a specification sheet

Digital sources are sometimes treated as though they should all sound much the same.

Our experience suggests otherwise.

Power supplies, digital output stages, noise reduction and the quality of the interface between streamer and DAC can all make an audible difference. And the better the rest of the system, the easier those differences can be to hear.

Just Listen.

We would rather demonstrate the options than simply tell you which one to buy.

We can compare STREAM1 and STREAM3, try different configurations and, where appropriate, demonstrate them with your preferred DAC or within a complete Linn system.

The result may not be the configuration you initially expected.
